Default Michael Schumacher's Intellect4200 cells

Well... this fairly new release is not affiliated with the Schumacher name known on the RC scene, but it's multiple F1 World Champion Michael Schumacher. That Schumacher is going into the battery and RC business is something new, but it's actually Cosmo Energy who's behind the Michael Schumacher Formula Race Batteries", the Intellect4200 S33VR1 MS TypeX.

Although Michael Schumacher is widely known for his outstanding achievements on the 1:1 scale F1 scene it's new to us that his name is to be used on the RC scene. The actual performance of this pack is not yet known, but we all know that it takes more than a famous name on a battery pack in order to achieve superb performance. Looking at it from a positive perspective, it could bring the possibility of a lead of more focus on the RC scene.

I'm sure these cells will carry a Ferrari-esque price tag when they are released

The flipside of that argument is that..

Seeing as he is the winning-est champ ever. Something is awry.
People haven't suddenly got smarter in the time he has become WC.

There will always be exceptional talents, and you could argue that the current technological state of F1 means that a better driver in a technically deficient car could not do well..

Has the Ferrari package not been the most technically accomplished package in the time that he got his championship results? Remember when the only realy challenge to the title came from Hakkinen? Was it not then that the playing field was somewhat more even given the Mclaren;s speed?

Look at where Schumacher is now.. his car isn't as good, so he trails Alonso by quite a large margin.

Actually, citing the fact that he does indeed have so many WC's. Could just say that he cheats MORE than the others. Having won so many WC is certainly exceptional.

Just a hypothetical arguement. I do think he is an amzing driver. But like all F1 drivers - they're there to win. They all use slightly dodgy tactics, as in all racing codes. I wouldn't go so far to say that he is a blatant cheater!! Nor would i say he's completely clean either!

These cells have been available in Japan for a while now. Only problem with buying these cells is that they do not label their cells like we do or like the USA does. Their is no information on the labels whatsoever. So it's a bit of a gamble.

I have it on reliable sources that these cells produced by this company are meant to be very good. Most of the Japanese racers use them apparently. If their good enough for 8min 12t tourers, then they should be okay.

My 2 cents worth.

I want to know how the hell an RC company got someone like Michael Schumacher to promote a battery? Seems a little fishy to me. They'd have to pay major royalties to him just for the legal use of his name.

Hi,

the cells definately exist.
I already used them at the Euros WarmUp and the German Nationals in Stock are won by these cells aswell as 17T and Stock at the LRP TCM. We use the cell since the beginning of the year and the performance is really good.
The cells are only pushed and matched by one manufacturer in Germany. Try it if you want to...
At the moment I prefer the IB4200 SHV for 3 reasons:
1. I don't like Schumi.
2. The IB is blue.
3. The cell performs as well as the Schumi cells.

Cheers
Chris

Just because there's a picture, doesn't mean it's real. And even if that's not a photoshop job and it does exist, is it legit? Does he even know about these? Being that we're such a small niche, it wouldn't surprise me if they're banking on him never hearing about them.

Not to mention, the original source for this thread was RCZone.net. The same site that said Schumacher (the RC Schumacher) was working on a hybrid belt/shaft car.
