I mean look at the Nationals that just ended, I belive the person who won was a full factory driver who gets paid for everything including all of his travel. Now you put other guys out there like the ones i listed above and that person who won stock at the nats would have barley made the main if lucky enough to make it, which means all thats doing is pushing the average paying stock racer even farther back in the mains then before.
I was a private racer in the paved nats last week and paid my entire way on my own. I had just a good of chance winning my class as the full factory drivers. They were just better drivers, hence why they are on those teams.

I could maybe see you getting mad if this was happing at a local track, but at big races this is why 1st, 2nd, 3rd of every main is given a trophy.
It means something, in fact a lot, to win a main at a national event.
I won the H main at the reedy, I got that Trophy on top on my mantle. It means alot to me. I dont look at it and go well if there were not so many factory drivers I would of been C main.
This topic must have come up at least 20 times since I started racing 3 years ago, and my answer is I like it, it makes the lower mains mean that much more.

Hmmm! This is an interesting thread. I guess what it boils down to is where a company has its priorities.....I guess.
I would also have to say that the full factory stock guys would rather just stay at that level and keep getting sent to races instead of losing their travel benefits after moving to Mod and not being able to cut the mustard in the highest difficulty level class of driving which is mod touring car. Not everyone has the talent to compete at that level.
I do understand Mr Jeremy's point though and respect it. Hey Ron, I loved that seen with you and Selena Steele in Indiana Joan and the Temple of Poon!
How did you get her to do that? I thought it was trick photography or something.
Let the saga continue................................

Stock is for up and coming racers, if you have a full travel sponsorship, shouldn't you be running mod with the big boys? This just seems like a cheap way to cheat out the normal stock guys from a deserving win in their class. If you want to call yourself a pro racer, at least have the balls to run a pro motor.

The Temple of Poon was one of my greatest films to date! No special effects either Hodapp, thats all Shlong Right there!
I race Stock sedan and belive that factory guys shouldnt be. REAL factory guys run Mod. But i geuss there are some P***ys out there that are to scared that there "factory" but not good enough to beat real Factory Drivers.

yo ron.....not sure your getting the whole jist of things here.....do you really think that the full factory stock guys wanna run stock?....i know a lot of stock guys who wanna run mod but they arent the ones entering themselves in the race......the person that sponsores them in telling them what class to run....
i can bet that all the "factory" stock guys race mod at local events and club races, so they are taking nothing from anyone at the local level, no matter what they will always be in there....
