Didn't know for sure if temp was a critical factor with LiPo.....but a temp probe would be sweeeet.

Temp is not necessary it is just a safety feature. If charged right lipos will not get hot at all.

Anyone knows what is the difference between firmware 1.40 to 1.42?

or better yet

How many software upgrades have CE release since and whats the main difference?
