It also seems in this day and age... almost every race I go to, guys have 3 or 4 different transponders w/ different numbers...so if too many showed with the same number, I'd bet within 2 minutes...someone could borrow one and resolve the problem quickly.
Yes common sense resolves most problems quickly

Guys please read the i-PT tech specs on my first post it will answer a lot of your questions. If you compare the specs with the AMB PT you will see we've made a few improvements!

Apologies for taking a while to reply to you guys who have sent PM's and emails, I'm replying as fast as I can!
My home track(s) has AMB-RC and AMB-RC3 counting system ( newer one ? ).

Is this clone work for both systems ( RC & RC3 ) ?? ......, because the original transponder works on both systems flawlessly.

If I buy the clone, what information do you need ? do you need just numbers from my AMB or I have to send the original AMB transponder to you in UK ?

How do I buy from you ?

Hi asw7576, the i-PT will work the same as the original PT if it works on the rc and rc3 the clone transponder will work ok too.

You need to send your original AMB PT to us in the UK, it's not possible to make a clone just from the ID number. Once we have your number it's possible to re-order more clones without sending your PT.

If you want to order the details we need are on the form at www.rclaps.com you should send the form to us along with your original AMB PT. The turn around is about 10 days with us plus the shipping time back to you.

NO

They apply power to them, and read the digital number off of them. You will get your PT back the same way you sent it to them.

terry_s

The PTX you mentioned is that for use with AMBrc, how many units in a set?

I'm looking for some I-Pt which can allow us to rent out. cos there are many new racers who haven't got a pt yet...

JSA
Yes the PTX is working with AMBrc. I think there are no sets but there are different IDs in each transponder and you could select them by pressing a button.
More on the PTX at this thread http://rctech.net/forum/showthread.php?t=164588

It still has to function. (or it has to work if power is applied to it)

I'm sure Terry will answer.

Terry,
I have been having problems with my I-PT working for a whole race. I run it in 12th 4 cell Stock and sometimes it just doesnt count and other times it does. I have checked the lead for any damage and for any cold solder joints. Thanks.

Hi Terry,

I sent my PT to you for cloning, which should arrive today.

I think I put my home address onthe form, if the PT will be sent back recorded delivery I might need to PM you work address so there is someone to sign for it.

Thanks
Skiddins
