I see that the car can have a rear motor mount and a mid motor mount what are the handling effects of each method, also what are each used for like flowing tracks for rear or is there no such thing.

Jamie Hi In the testing I did I found that the Rear motor car was like all the other cars out there in the way of tuning and for the mid mount motor it has more steering and the best all around performance!

We will cover this more once you get your car.

how is this car going to work with foam tires??? I'm sure Fred will be trying it out at Kranzel's this weekend...

I know, from lots of Tamiya experience, that the Tamiya suspension isn't the most foam tire-friendly suspension available...UNless you do the Pro4 hub-modification...

any thoughts??

Well I think with the amount of steering on this chassis and the weight almost 50/50 ok 48/52 It should work fine well maybe better than fine and if not he will have a HPI Suspension backup And I know this will work and be fast!

Plus with the 3mm lower Chassis I just made I feel he will be out front.
I must say I do not run TC Carpet I run 1/12 scale pan car. I have run carpat touring car in the past but I am far for one of the best on carpet must of the time I win the B and finish top 5 when I do make the field in the A main.

Plus he has about 8mm to 10mm of wheelbase adjustment

I like Asphalt but that is just me!

Here is freds car I am making a New upper Chassis plate tonight and shipping it out!

Yes this car can move the motor to the rear and use a new upper deck!

Noit is not more forward than other pics

and all of the pics dated 1970 01 01 show you just how long I have been working on this or maybe its just the camera ???

The latest photos of the car look great.

Is that the final design and production version of the car or is there going to be more changes? (asphelt version)

Also does the car have split bulkheads to make it easier to get to the diff/one way etc and adjust belt tension?

The car looks really good Marty, congratulations....................

Cheers
Aaron

Yes this is the final design and production version of the car this car!
The asphelt version of this car hss a 2 part upper Chassis plates in 2mm and a Low chassis in 2.5mm and will not have the 4 corner posts or the upper chassis tabs.

But it can be order in both setups.

Yes the car now has the split bulkheads and the adjustable bearing seats to adjust the belts.

updates or up grades will only be made if they if all the cars so if you were to buy this car and 3 months down the road we add or change something it will also fit your car and will be at a low cost to our customers. So you will be able to change your car as we change our designs! keeping you in the MLP X10P4 is what we are looking to do. so why buy anything else?

Marty,
Does the car have to share the same metallic power blue as Tamiya? It appears to share a great deal of design with the 415 - would be nice to give the car, more of it's own identity. Maybe, a bright orange or green or even red (keeping with the colors of the company logo). Just a thought.
