Default Going crazy over charger choices - HELP!

Hi everyone...

It is time for a second charger. My first Charger is a millenium pro and just cant keep up with charging the batteries for 2 sedan oval TC3s, 1 Losi XXXs Touring, and an 18t all at the same time! EESH!

Here are the options I think are important: Want a charger that can charge LiPos as well as Nimh. Like the idea of step charging... seems to make sense. Would like to have motor run in and slave driving for lathe... And dont want to have to worry about someone lifting a Turbo 35 from my table and running like mad!

I have looked at:

Much more CTXC - $235 with discharge tray... Nice charger but seems a bit complicated for me. Has seemingly infinite set up options (including step charge) but doesnt have motor break in/comm lathe power option.

INDI 16x8v6 - $260 - Again - seems to be a nice charger.. Pros are 30A discharge, Motor Break in and slave drive 0-9amps, Does LiPo too, Might be AC/DC from description - not sure. Also might have step charging.. again - not sure. Bonus is a built in dyno (for RPMs)

Duratrax ICE - $120 - Cant believe I am actually thinking of a duratrax but for the price how can you not? Charges LiPos, Has motor break in and slave drive, 4 step charging, Easy to use... Inexpensive temp sensor option.... This is HALF the price of the others... so if it craps out prematurely I can buy another one and still be $$ ahead.

Please share your thoughts...
Thanks
Geo

The duratrax ICE shouldn't really have the a duratrax sticker on as the quality is really good. It's a great charger and does all of what the others do but it is cheaper.
Drew.

If you really want lipo, then don't get the Cell Master...

If lipo is of little/no concern, get the Cell Master...

Very nice charger. with the updated v6.2 chip motor cut-off is now 20amps! It is AC/DC as long as you live in the US. and again the v6.2 chip has full step charging abilities.

Overall, I am very happy with my unit, no problems whatsoever.

I would go with the Ice. Cant beat it for the money. The only con is the lack of backlighting on the display. With the money you can save you can get seperate dischargers, dynos, etc.

I have used the Orion Advantage chargers for two years, just upgraded one to the Lipo version. You cannot go wrong with this charger. Good Luck.

My vote goes for the Ice. I use it to charge every battery I have except my starter box and cell phone. I even made an adapter for my digital camera.

If your worried about the Ice being a Duratrax product, you should know that Yokomo has the same exact charger in their line up, just with the Yokomo name on it. Not sure where it's available, but I saw it on their site a while ago. Heard lots of good things about this charger, but never used it.
