Default 1:12 Scale Brushless Gearing or Rollout?

Gentleman ( and Ladies if you're out there ), does anyone have a starting point for gearing or rollout for a 12L4 with a Sphere Comp and Reedy Neo 4 or 3 star combo in it? The instructions give you a basic starting point of 9.8 - 10.5 :1 for a 1/10 tourer, not sure how this equates to a pan car. They also mention that it should be geared lower than a similar turned brushed motor. I've been running 42 - 44mm rollout with LRP brushed 10x2, so far speedo only just warm and plenty of run time left after 8 mins with 3800's. Just not sure where to start with brushless?? Does anyone have experience with setup? Any help much appreciated.Oh out door asphalt tracks too.

Hi

we were running 30mm/rev at the 1/12th euros on the LRP Sphere Comp with 4 Star motors.

Hope this helps.

Cheers

Mark Payne ist right

try about 29-30mm with the 4star and 31-32 with the 3star.

For a medium size track.

Hi

I want to fit a brushless motor with Lipo cells to a 12L4. I saw Marks post on the brushless motor in his blog (nice!) What LiPo cells should I use?

Thanks
