Touring w/ the most clearance/susp. travel?
I'm looking at getting an electric touring car, but I need one that can handle the light 1/2" gravel disersed l over the pavement in my neighborhood. I was looking at the following:
Kyosho Focus 4WD Tamiya Lancer or Imprezza 4WD Traxxas 4-TEC(1st choice overall, but probably too low for my needs) |
Only my 2 cents worth but ....you don't need a true touring car. What you need is a Rally car. The 2 best are the Tamiya TB01 and the HPI RS4 Rally. I'm a Tamiya guy but to be honest, The HPI suspension is pretty good for rally use. Both are very good quality. Good Luck

My dos cents....
I think the best choice would probly be an RS4 Rally, I've built one, and they are good quality, get the slipper clutch, it makes it a tru offroad vehicle. Some tracks even have a class for these cars! |
for parking lot racing, my advice is to get a chassis with a sealed drivetrain. you'll thank yourself when the others are replacing belts/gears etc.

RS4 or TBO1 packages?
I can't find the TB01 anywhere on US sites, Are they discontinued, or listed under another name?. I was looking at Tower's RS4, but I need to figure out what motor/radio/ESC I need with it. I would prefer a RTR kit, just to ensure compatability of parts, but I don't NEED it.

If you can still find them, I think the Yokomo MR4 Rally and the Losi Rally weapon would be great.

The Losi Rally was an awesome car! The tc3 with the rally conversion is really cool too. My personal picks would be the tc3 with rally conversion, losi rally (if you can find it), or a HPI Rally. Hpi and the TC3 should have good part support almost anywhere.
