Think you guys have got the approach to wet weather racing all wrong

My approach usually starts the week before with the LONG RANGE WEATHER FORCAST.

If it's good (read sunny) were all smiles

If it's bad (all weekend) and there's little chance of them getting it very wrong, we now move on to the TV guide to see what motorsport is on the tele so i know when i need to be outta bed.

Now were on to the IMPORTANT bit planning saturday night out with your mates

Dry set-up with slicks on and close the boot = 100% waterproof. Not good for laptimes though

For wet weather you want Pit Shimizu PS0044D or PS047D the PS0400 suck!
And a MRT Speedo.
Racing line - any that avoids all the big puddles and the kerbs.

Don't be too harsh on him, after all he did tell people to use carpet dragons on the wet first

Default wet racing

Grab the remote, flick onto FOX, (satalite) and watch some other poor bastard crash his more expensive car into something imovable!!!!

But seriously, ive never even seen the pit Shimizu before. Do they wear real bad?
ive seen the footage on the peak site of the finals in the wet, and thats just insane, but great to watch!

The pits above are more of an intermediate tyre and so do wear as they are just used on damp tracks. The proper pit wets ive never seen anyone wear through a set as they are used in full wet standing water conditions. Most people just bolt on the wets and have a supprising amount of grip.

Edit: these are the proper pit wets

The pits are fine and last for ages providing you use them in the wet. They only wear when the track is nearly dry or patchy.

Carpet Dragons in the wet
When they were 'used' in the BTCC they were that awful that everybody went back to slicks which much better
