dyno batt
I didn't go for the gell cell. they are more $.
I found Gruber power service(on ebay) out of arizona had the 1/2 wheel chair batt for 18.75 & $12.50 shipping.--- 12v 18AH plus you can get the exact charger from him also--- mine has been good for 1 1/2 yr so far.I just leave it plugged into the maintenance charger all the time-- disconnect when dynoing.
Sorry don't know how to do the link thing.

Tech Regular
Typically you can call around locally and find batteries that will work great.
The 17ah battery the robi dyno recommends is used often at office buildings to power their backup system. Also used to power alarm systems.
Any electronics store (other than Radio shack ) should carry something that works in the 17-18ah range
