Default Any tracks near McLean, VA?

I will be heading to McLean, VA quite a bit over the next year, so i would see if there is any carpet racing around? I will be staying right around Tysons Square.

Thanks in advance,
Marc

Closest indoor carpet track is The Track in Gaithersburg, MD; about 30 min away.

Next is ThunderRoadRC in Gordonsville, VA; about 1.5 hours away.

I've been to "The Track". Great facility with a bunch of talented drivers.

Default Thunder Road RC Speedway

Don't forget next weekend, May 27th and 28th, will be a double header weekend at Thunder Road RC Speedway, in Gordonsville, Virginia. We'll be running the oval on Saturday; and the Road Course on Sunday. Thunder Road will open at 9:00 AM on Saturday, and 10:00 AM on Sunday for practice. Racing will begin at 3:00 PM both days.

Whether you prefer to just go fast and turn left, or enjoy the challenge of Thunder Road's large and sweeping carpet road course, you'll find what you're looking for this weekend. Details, directions, maps and more at thunderroadrc.com. See you there! Thanks; Ernie P.

Default Newbies

Summer is the ideal time to get acclimated to carpet racing. It's the slow part of the season, the racing isn't as intense, the track isn't as crowded, and you have more time to practce, learn and play with the car. Thngs are simply less hurried. So, come on down when you're ready. We'll be here; and we'll be glad to help you get started. Check out the website for anything you need. Thanks; Ernie P.
