Default Speed 500, does it need a diode

Hiya,

I bought a Graupner Speed 500 motor today (like Mabuchi). Question is, does it need a Schotki diode with my MMS3/VFS1 speedo? Or am I safe running without one?

TIA

You should be safe running without one, those motors are comparable to the sports tuned 540 tamiya produces so they don't draw all that much current
