helios
I own a helios and have never tried a 3pk but have felt one and they are way heavier than a helios, and way uglier the helios just has such a better beel to it and user accesablitiy is great with the jog dial.
IMHO i would go a helios over a 3pk anyday! the 3pk look like a cops bloody speed radar gun!

I have owned several M8's and m11's not to mention many many lesser radios plus a 3pk. I found that the airtronics radios fit me pretty well and the 3pk did not. I am not talking about the way it fit in my hand. When I drive I don't look at my radio and I don't really care what it looks like. The way the 3pk "felt" while driving just did not feel as good to me. One thing that I have noticed is that I have never talked to a KO radio owner that didn't love the transmitter. Just my personal observations.

I've used the 3PK for quite a while now, and find it to be the best radio I've owned. Not sure what the supposed issue is with the trim buttons, they seem to work perfectly.
The Helios is a very light radio, and of course its KO, so you know its quality. The screen is a bit small for a modern day radio, but it doesn't seem to bother Helios owners.
Its nice that the drop down wheel option is standard equipment in the 3PK box, but its an extra purchase on for the Helios.
It pretty much comes down to a feel test. Which one fits and feels best in your hand. I also prefer the stiffer trigger feel of the 3PK over the softer feel of the Helios. But thats personal preference.

I own both and like both radios,I have used my 3PK more for nitro off road and the KO more for on road,The KO is lighter(well it feels lighter)both are about the same when it comes to going through the menu's..even though i think that the 3PK's is more straightforward(IE:easier to use)The KO's is still not hard to use.I think it still comes down to comfort,I know a lot of racers love the M8/M11..I hated it,My thumb hit on the bottom of the screen and it drove me nuts.. If you have any friends that use them drive their car for a pack and see which radio you like more,if you dont like the way the radio feels it does not matter how easy it is to program it..

better how? fastest response? that's futaba HRS...
the new pk super is much easier to use with the jog button.
When I was looking for a new radio I just picked up all top 3, KO M11 and 3pks..the 3pks fit my natural position much better, try it

I love my M11. Although its not as comfortable as a Helios, doesn't seem to have as nice a balance to it. I think it more practical due the oversized display thats easy to use and make adjustments. You don't need to have the manual with you to interpret abreviations. I look at it this way, even though it may not be as comfortable at first, you'll get used to it and it'll be second nature to you in no time at all. Never drove or even picked up a 3PK.

They are all pretty much of a muchness. I had a try of the various radios and settled on the 3PKS (Titanium Black Version) as it had the best feel and I do prefer the bigger screen.

i replaced my 3pk with a ko last year. the 3pk has a bigger screen,it is slightly easier to navigate the menu and it has pcm available. the ko is a bit lighter, it fits big hands better, and it feels much more comfortable to me. they are both good radios and i don't remember which one is cheaper but that might be a big factor in you're decision. one other thing that has nothing to do with how they perform but, i like the look of the ko much more.
