No single car setup "rules".
It's all about how it feels to the driver and the times it can do on the track.
Personally speaking, I've never managed to get the spool to work on our local tracks (slippy surface/tight corners), I always run a diff, but I know other people that swear by them, or swear by a one-way instead!
