and also notice that the chassis is not the stock one either.i believe it is a 2mm high modulous carbon fiber chassis.

I wouldnt. Risk of screwing it up is too high. I have taken a year break and just bought a T2 for the comeback lol. I had 2 big hits, nothing broke and the first time no tweak. The 2nd time I caught the edge of a dot and right when I went up on 2 wheels got smacked from behind so I ended up doing cartwheels for about 15 feet. Nothing broke and it was slightly tweaked when I got back to the pit after the heat. Took me about 30 seconds to fix it. Any car would have tweaked from that though. I used to drive an 04 and that car was a tank but even that hit would have tweaked it. First night of racing the T2 and it drives 10 times better than the 04 and nothing broke so I was happy.

If you really want a countersunk topdeck just buy an aftermarket one.

Thanks all, i think the non-counter sink is actually better because if you tweak it you can loosen the screws, place the chassis flat against a setup board, then re-tighten the screws-problem fixed.....but on a countersunk deck if you badly tweak it you wont be able to get rid of it as good.

Until this last week, the track I race at was low traction concrete. Because of the low traction, I ran the T2 as flexible as possible. Only 4 button head screws on the factory top deck. The car would tweak after almost every race. I switched to countersunk washers and the car would tweak
less often, but still most races. I assume because the washers have more surface area and therefore better clamping force.

My track recently put down carpet. So I switched the car to the stiffest
configuration including every hole in the upperdeck being screwed down (now
with 10 screws). No more tweak!! (at least not without major impact).

My conclusion....

The non-countersunk deck works acceptably with sufficient clamping force

or

the design of the car works better for high traction tracks
