The crowd all gathered trackside for the final race of the event between Hara and Rheinard for the overall win. The excitement in the air was awesome. The tone went off and Hara and Rheinard were in second and third behind Barry after the first turn. Hara and Rheinard got close to Barry and he pulled out of the way to let the championship leaders fight it out. The stage was set for an awesome duel to the finish line. Two laps later, Rheinard blasted Hara at the end of the straight going into the sweeper. Rheinard waited for Hara to get going but by this time 1st and 2nd were pretty far ahead of Hara as Rheinard pulled his car from the track. Hara had to win the race outright to take the overall and he was to far back to do so. Rheinard was the champ. I, as well as everyone watching was very disappointed that the fight we all were hoping to see got ruined by such a banzai move by Rheinard. The rumor in the pits was that Hara and Rheinard had a little bad blood from ealier in the day and Rheinard was heard by many as saying he was gonna put him off the track. I wish Rheinard would have took into consideration all the people that got let down............to be continued........

Hodapp set the stage PERFECTLY! saw the whole thing myself and you could hear people saying Marc did it on purpose as it seemed rather blatant.

I had the fortunate opportunity to turn marshall at the end of the front straight at the point of the incident and in my opinion it was two guys fighting for the same piece of real estate. The same scenarios played out in every invitational race from start to finish and this one was no different.

wow...ok Rick...well like everyone else you are entitled to your opinion...just seems as though the majority of people and I would confindently say 90% of them thought it was blatant especially knowing that Hara had to win that main to take the title and Marc's car seemed to not be handling as well as previous rounds so why not use that as a perfect setup to "accidentally" take the guy out that could take the title away from you..but hey whats a reedy race without controversy!

Then on the other hand you have a guy that has won everything and has nothing to prove. Accidents happen and it would be nice for a vid to be up so we all can make are own decision on this. Problem is with this many tops guys it is hard to always make a clean pass with all being so similiar in speed. Even the best or the best make mistakes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are all human.

I don't know if you were there, but clearly Marc was the faster car in the last race. Marc was all over him the entire time. Marc made a few mistakes trying to pass, then end up giving ground to Hara, but would close in very easy it seemed to me. Hara pushed out alittle wide on the sweeper and Marc tried to sneak inside. Hara closed the door on him, but they taingled up. Marc and Hara are the cleanest racers I have ever seen.
