Battery Problems
i have question on 6 cells matched Team Orion nimh SHO 4200 battery
my friend said that i must at least use this battery once every 2-3 days
and i have to cycle them through the charger every time i use the battery
'is this true??? my friend said if i didn't do this the battery will be dead
and is it true if we charge a short circuited battery in a charger, the charge will also be short circuited and affect other batteries to be short circuited if we charge them in the same charger ???
thank in advance

Store them with no less than a third of a charge and cycle the pack every two weeks. Also make sure the pack's voltage doesnt go below 5.4v during storage. You could cycle the pack a day before you race them if you want to get most performance but it's not needed. You can just go ahead and cycle it on the track.
On your last question, other batteries will not be affected by your charger just because you previously tried to charge a shorted battery.

The average voltage of batteries drop after prolonged use, i.e. over 500 cycles, especially high impact cells such as these that are always discharged at a high rate. Eventually it will come to a point where it is a need to keep the voltage above the critical point if not the cells will die.
The answers to his question were good answers, but were not apt for HIS batteries.
@chaindark, you got pm.
