Manticore: good one!

Hara certainly has been using that body, so its odd that its listed as illegal. Roar needs to update that list, or revise the rules or something. No body is concerned with scale apperance on the top levels anyway, so maybe they should expand the list to include more bodies.

Speedo: heck they probably wouldn't notice anyway! Heck, theres like 7 companies, currently making about 10 different versions of the same damn Stratus body. Whos going to stop to take notice of which one somebody is running.

Just don't win, or then they might actually look!

I just picked up a Protoform BMW 3-series sedan, part#1436.

Looks good so far, I might get to try it out tomorrow, otherwise next weekend.

I don't hate the Stratus like some do, but I felt like a change...

You could try some Protoform stickers and really confuse them.

Trips: Well, I don't hate it anymore. I used to. (back on rctouring) Now though, there is a good variety of bodies that populate the classes at our local tracks.

Right now I run a 300M body, but thats because the LHS was all out of 190mm Vauxhall bodies at the time.

An update on the Protoform BMW 3 series sedan (#1436)...

Took the XXX-S out today, ran modified (10 dbl.) on carpet. The BMW mounts higher than the P-form Stratus, I had to raise the perches on the posts two holes in front and two in back. The BMW seems to work very well indeed, the felt very stable, but with a bit more steering than the Stratus.

I was leading the main and pulling away from second when a guy on an adjacent channel (I'm on 78, he was on 79) walked off the stand and out onto the track to work on his car... I drove under his TX antenna and caught a glitch and took a board full force on the right front. Snapped the arm off and my race was over.

Other than that, I'm pretty happy with the BMW so far. No funky habits that I could see, and it's something different to look at. I'll see if I can get a pic or two up sometime soon.
