need help with t2 gearing etc.
hey guys i just got my t2 and have not even run it yet.
I need to know the pinion i need to use.
I have an 84 tooth spur (48p) and am using a 19t and sometimes a 27t stock.
I have all pinions from 21-30 except 29.
I need to know which pinion to use.

Round ones.....
Way to many variables to just throw a number out there. each track is different. Ask people for there roll out at your local track then dial yourself in, or find someone with an Xray.

I ran a 21 tooth pinion with the stock 84 tooth spur in stock last time i raced, on a flowing track with high top speed- so try there... you will probably use between 19-23 at your track... only judging by photos as it seems to warrant fairly high top speed right???
try it and see... start from 20 and work up, you should find the right one in there
Hope that helps

But we have 3 different track setups and on 2 of them, coming to the end of the straight you come into a sweeping corner.
so its half high sped the other half is technical qnd requires you to be quick.

To work out your ratio's you divide the Spur gear by the pinion ie: 84 divided by 26 which = 3.203 then you mulitply that by your internal ratio which is 1.7 which = 5.49230. Should be fine for that track.
If you use a 19t pinion your ratio will be 7.515
