it's rccartips' car driven by Porsha, not sure why it doesnt count as an axon car since he said on youtube the goldtc prototype was the practice car and the axon the quicker race car

It is an old shaft drive car that has been updated.

The biggest credit goes to Tamiya and Xpress for making A-Main and Awesomatix for the most popular chassis at TITC 2025.

Xray didn't make the A main this time, but according to statistics it was the second most used platform (by 4 cars to Awesomatix) at TITC 2025.

Were the two Associated cars the new TC8 prototypes or older cars?

She intended to race it. However gearbox issues and had to go with the old Axon TC10/2 backup car. Those statistics were taken upon registration and not what was actually ran by racers.

Deep field in mod. Q1 ranked 40, ended up in E main with Antoni Caretti (Yokomo Team Driver) and JQ (European 1/8 off road champion, and yes that guy). Enjoyable race :)

There were no TC8s running as they did not reach the distributor on time. I was pitting next to him. They ran a Schumacher and Infinity home build car instead and came 1rst and 3rd in the non-boost class.

MikeO 02-25-2025 07:46 AM

Around 0.4s slower in low grip condition and old tires. Issues prevented further refinement of the setup or add more power.

He knows how to set up a car but when you've got multiple talented drivers working on setup and sharing that info, you get more info per run at an event with limited time to dial in the setup.

Direction with setup can sometimes be difficult especially when faced with unique track conditions like the TITC. From what JQ said he helped a lot of people out but for some like Alex it was a little too late

what a show. The guy has never been elsewhere than on the 1st place. Bruno is doing pretty well on the Spéciale proto but I'm not sure he would be able to beat Michal even with his former Xray

He is for sure a special talent. Unfortunately touring car racing isn't attracting many young people into the sport like offroad racing is especially 1/10th buggy racing. It's probably much harder to break into the upper echelon of modified touring car than any other RC race class. There also aren't many professional full time RC racers anymore

When tires cost USD25 and last only 5 minutes in modified it is hard to attract new talent. Practicing in itself is very expensive.

You are a bit pessimistic! I'm running modified and my tires last at least 5 runs (Rush 36S or 40S). Of course I'm not straining them as much as the top dogs.
