That's the most perfectly balanced touring car I ever seen, great job!

I would just shorten the transponder wire and stick it to the side of the receiver.

The loop at my local track is a bit picky when it comes to transponder location so I tend to play it safe. Will try it though. As for the balance, I try to have my car as close to perfect as possible so at least I know that when I drive like shit, it’s not the car. It’s most always me and not the car anyways!

Pretty much the worst possible location for a transponder in terms of signal strength...

This is my build. Can’t wait to put it on the track! Hard to get the balance any better! Just need to figure out a better way to route the transponder wire and get a shorter sensor wire.

Nice! Did you have a minimum weight requirement?

Why is that?

Signal interference from the electronics and they tend to be flawless when mounted flat.

1320 g. That picture is without the body. When I put the body on, there is 1-2g difference between the wheels. Final weight is 1321g

It's literally hanging outside the chassis, I see no reason how it could be the worst place to be

Some loops are picky when it comes to transponder position. It is usually better when the transponder lays flat.

If you look at the pros, you can see a favored position.
I don't think they'd risk losing a round.

The instruction manual that comes with the transponder explicitly states not to mount it vertically like that. Also, proximity to the receiver antenna can cause interference.

And yet this is exactly what MyLaps says not to do.

What we need is a .5g CNCd "tweak free" kevlar composite transponder mount.

Everyone would buy it and 1/2 the people that mount the transponder wrong would do it properly.
