Komodo Dragon

Anyone know what the hot brush and spring setup is for the Komodo Dragon motor?

Anthony.L 05-04-2006 01:22 AM

F brushes in mine and the thing is a land missle!

springs depending on what class you are running, for 1/12 I run green/green or green/red.

I put a pair of 767's in and purple springs on both side's and I was very happy with the speed..

The motor worked well im my touring car. I am really liking this KD motor.

F's, 4499's, 767's. Any competition brush with purples +/-

On our track we have to roll it lower than anything else due to the fact that it has sooooo much rpm compared to the other 19T motors.

With Rubber tire and Foam, I stay between a 1.0"-1.04" rollout and it's about the same feel as my best 19T. It winds out like a 12 turn down the straight, and has plenty of torque.

What about gearing for a med-large flowing treated pavement track for a Cyclone touring car running IB4200's???? So far I have found that a 7.05 seemed to work the best 150f but topped out 3/4 of the straight.........I was faster with a Team Scream C2 geared 6.37 and came off at 145f. Just wondering if that is what other people are seeing. I am running F-brushes and red springs on both motors.

i like running the xxx brushes in the KD.i gear it around a 6.5 and use red springs + and -.absolute missile

protc3 06-05-2006 07:43 PM

the KD seems to like to run 1-2 teeth lower than the c2.it has been faster for me than the c2.

If it is topping out 3/4 of the straight, go up a pinion
