Default Integy AutoLathe

Hi all

I am looking at replacing the Intey Mod Fashion Lathe and know the Hudy is the king but for the price has anyone had experience with the new AutoLathe from Integy?

Does it have adjustable back stops ?

Any pros and cons of this lathe with people who have used it?

Thanks

Thanks for the info

What did you have previously?

Are there end stops for the cut?

The HUDY lathe now comes with the alum case included ($30ish). I got the standard tech lathe, not the advanced and it's not that unreasonable in price.

I think the auto lathes are a bit over rated. I prefer to control the cutting manually especially when cutting with diamond bits.

I have had one for about two years, the lathe works well, and it does have adjustable backstops. I have checked my cuts over the last two years to make certain that they are even and round, and they have been spot on. The biggest drawbacks, is the size, not the most portable, but does come in a nice case and the wheel to adjust the depth of the bit is not as precise or smooth as the Hudy, but for the cost and ease of operation, it is a good first lathe.
