My first track day with the R5 is going well. The kit setup isn't really that far off for black carpet. It is a little tippy. But it's manageable with additive techniques. I'm slowly mixing in some of the JB2 setup. I plan on sticking with the transverse battery position for now.

Nice to hear. We should have the inline battery strap option part later next month.

Got to run the run mine this past weekend for the first time at our state race here in Florida. Man was I amazed at how aggressive this version is on initial steering an corner rotation. Even running the med rears and firm fronts I had to turn the dual rate way down to get comfortable with how it drives. After finally gaining confidence with how hard to attack the corners and my braking points was on pace to take tq in last quali but error on my part caused me to miss it on last lap. After a few little tweaks to setup started the main in 4th and when the tone sounded the car was on rails. Took the lead after 6 laps and ran away from the field for the win. Absolutely love this thing.

I usually start off with medium fronts and soft rears then when the track temps come up above 100 switch to med rears and maybe firm fronts depending on how much rear bite I'm getting.

Hi guys .
not long ago got myself an exotek moving from another brand which uses side tubes rather than the side shocks .
is the kit side shock oil too soft for asphalt ?
I've tried 1k with yellow spring g but even that feels super soft and collapses real easy .
Also I see all the set ups use a ball diff as opposed to a gear diff ?
thanks

I'm using 7k in the side shocks for carpet. I may even try 10k. I know a few others who are running super thick oil in the side shocks.
