Something to keep in mind if you are putting plastic on the chassis is that the plastic will not be flat after you chew it up a bit. This will be a problem when you go to make sure the chassis isn't tweaked or set droop using blocks. Any wrinkling around screws will give you the same problems.
Also, if you do put a deep enough gouge to go through the plastic and scratch the carbon fiber, CA'ing the cf will make removing the protector hard and leave ridges. (no, I haven't done this but I have cleaned up a friend's car who did)

After going to a few stores, and trying to find an good alternative to the Associated mylar chassis sheet (was about to give up), I called superior hobbies and they had the same mylar sheet, only put out by Losi. I had no idea, or even thought about looking at losi. Its part #LOSA9605, Horizon sells this stuff for about the same price. The guy at superior said its 8"x 18" and the same thickness, so I could probably do 2 chassis with one sheet. Just though I'd let some of you know who want the mylar instad of using duct tape, lexan ect.

I agree. That's what we use here. 3m Safety Walk (clear) to be more specific.

I was thinking of motocross backgrounds too, but they can be a real pain to get off in the future and leave a heck of alot of sticker goo behind once peeled. (I used these on my MX bikes 1990-00) I do like the different color choices though.
