I highly reccomend the ice charger. Great value;Tower hobbies is currently running a special on them. Personally, I bring 3 chargers, break in machine, and several discharge trays, but it is a little overboard. I would try to get two chargers, with at least one having discharge/motor run in features. Your second charger can be a cheaper model, such as the puslar sport or millenium pro.

this is little off topic but still to do with racing.
I might start racing my 1:10 and these would be the things i would take. i would only do about 3-6 races per night every two weeks.
i would take the following:

3 batt packs 2000 (1 in car already)
lots of tools and spares
my car
charger
lessure batt

that should allow me to race for a bit ?

bad run-time charge at a lower rate say 5.5

discharge tray charge then race repeat only 2x a day

Likewise, for me I see no point bringing the wife if she doesn't like racing, just like she wouldnt expect me to get involved in her nail varnishing, hair removal... etc.

I just tell her if i've had a good day or a bad one at the track,it's as much info as she wants to hear lol.

I guess I must be one that actully bring my wife. She actully incouranges me to race. She helps me out in the pits. I even bring her out to club racing. Since I race two heat and pits for a racer. She will actully change my batteries and solder them in. switch motors. and place next pack on the charger. All she ask if I need to gear up or down. then we discuss what might be needed to get my lap times down. She doesnt' want to race, but want to be involved. So when I need a new part she is all for it. ( as long as I justify for it).

And she get along with the guy's so it pretty cool.

My wife comes with me whenever she can. I can get her to sause my tires and thats it for now. maby later on I can get her to do some wrenching for me for when I break something. I just can't "justify" the lipo pacs and the GFX charger yet
