I saw 2 cars at Marcs table, one had the old suspension and one a different one what was certainly not Tamiya.
All of the TRF drivers used the TA05 pulleys.

Actually Marc Fischer ran Checkpoint motors. He tested the GM brushless and found that the Checkpoint was better.

Nice movies, the beginning of the A2 was pretty exciting to watch, 'till Groskamp made a mistake...

Is it just me, or does that carpet look really loose in a lot of those pictures? Was that a problem at all during the event?

IAs I understood that was the issue in the beginning. But later the problem was gone.

Marc Fischer was running Checkpoint motors at the Pre-Worlds in Italy, but switched to brushless for the german indoor nationals aswell as for the TCM.

Regarding the carpet:
It was the same carpet we ran last year, also laid out exactly the same way as last year. As we ran the same tracklayout, the traction was there pretty fast. I think the grip was even higher then last year, so the cars tend to flip over quite easy. Hitting a dot was a no-no, at least with my car.
If you stayed on the line, grip was very good, but as soon as you made a mistake and went off the line, the grip got bad for the next two or three corners.

In my opinion, the VTEC27R tire was the right choice as controlled tire, as with the VTEC24R tire (which was run the last few years) the grip would have been waaaayyyy to high.

Cheers
Andy

I have been looking for these tires and can not find them. Anyone know of a online hobby shop that has them.
