well...i managed to get the manual from Tamiyaclub.com...big up guys!!! today is a public holiday in South Africa so i decided to put the car together. everything is stock except the car now has ball bearings. all that's left fro me to do is spray the body...Anodized Silver!!!

the car is a classic...and when i put this OLD kit together, i could see how much has changed in these RC cars!! i think i appreciate the newer designs more now after building this vintage RC model.

the other place you can try is tamiyausa.com...they recently started putting pdf version of the manuals online for their kits...you might be able to find one for for yours or any TA02 for that matter

Default Not old design - multipurpose and CHEAP!

I remember TCs back then.. it was when I was in this hobby hardcore.

There were plenty of "modern" chassis back then, but Tamiya wanted this car to use lots of existing parts, be able to run offroad, onroad and rally.

I have seen some of these still be competitive parking lot racers.

Dont get me wrong.. not a good design.. but very functional, and economical, which was what they were shooting for.

Nice example

shot guys!!!

Rampal, the anodized silver is a tamiya paint. yes in a can. PS-48 and you need PS-5 which is black. first you spray the silver on and once its dry you cover it with the black.

Never seen the PS-48 before here in Spain... that's why I've asked. I'll check the LHSs around to see if finally they got more than the 8 basic colors!!

Thanks, dude!
