Default Kudo's to Xtreme RC Car Magazine!!

I got to check out the newest edition of XRC this weekend and just wanted to commend them on their write-up of the Snowbirds. That is the largest and best coverage of a race that I have seen in a long time. I didnt count the pages but it was at least 7 or 8 pages long with tons of pictures and FULL RESULTS!!! This is the kind of coverage the largest RC Race in the world deserves.

On the flip side Car action had 3 pages and only listed the top 3 in each class....LOSERS!!

LOL! I remember getting shafted by Car Action only listing the top 5 last year ...and now they are down to only listing the top 3!

Maybe next year they will just let the advertising do the race coverage for them...

Default Coverage

Car Action has provided the worst race coverage for the last few years. Not only The Birds, but Cleveland , Nationals, and other big races. I guess they rather have 8 pages of Servo Cases and heatsinks than race coverage.
God knows i run to my mailbox every month waiting to see what color heatsink Ofna is coming out with for my servo

You would figure after a major advertiser pulled their ads, that Car Action could dedicate a couple of more pages to race coverage.

Derek and the Xtreme crew are the ticket when it comes to putting out a top notch magazine.

Plus they got really hot chicks.

There's nothing wrong with RC Car Action...It's necessary to do a REVO/TMAXX/Other RTR Crap tire guide ever other month! That's good journalism!

XRC rocks!

XRC is definitely the best rc car mag out there. My last issue of car action, it was 72 pages of advertisements before I even got to an actual article. I understand the costs of publishing such a mag, but that's ridiculous. Car action's race coverage consists of, "this guy won and here's a crappy pic of the track". Then 20 more pages of advertisements...

I have no problem with other magazines choosing the format that they feel fits them best, I just have a greater appreciation for RC mags that recognize the racing side of our sport to a greater degree. Thank you XRC, for providing the type of coverage our sport needs.

I'd say XRC is the best thing going in the US, but for racers, Radio Controlled Car Racer (http://www.rcracer.com) is quite a bit better. We need something like this in the US. I just received a back issue, which included the off-road worlds, and am very, very impressed. They've even got write-ups of local and regional events (with more coverage than some of the US counterparts had of say Cleveland). More interesting to me than a mag with 90% of its pages filled with truggy nitro minit-ts... Just my 2 cents.

I have seen that mag, and it is sweet, but England is a lot smaller than the USA. I'm sure if you broke things down into smaller coverage areas you could have geographic "editions", but I'm sure a lot of it is the space and manpower they have.
