Rumor or Fact? You decide. I would of thought that Asso will move to Taiwan since that's were Thunder Tiger is.

Sounds like someone has put 2 and 2 together and got 5.

Even if TT moved all production to Taiwan they will still need an AE development/marketing/distribution presence in the USA.

Bringing AE and Ace Hobby Distribution under the same roof would be more likely.

Does'nt make much sense, hands down, Associated sells more product here in the U.S. then any other country. Most racers still see associated as a U.S. owned company. If they did move anything its probably just the parts production to cut costs. R&D, and distributing will likely have to stay. But who really knows, maybe cliff will get the boot and a $1 a day engineer from india will develop the next TC5, A combination vacuum cleaner, Mop head for indoor carpet racing, and cleaning at the same time

I heard that's where they will be developing their hybrid shaft/belt car that will revolutionize touring car racing and 1/12th scale racing at the same time!

Actually I can see them moving most of the operations over there and having a distribution center here. Then have Barry hop back and fore, although that will get old.

Considering the beating the TC4 takes on a regular basis from cars made by foreign engineers, I wouldn't be knocking them. In fact, you could say our American engineering is a bit of an embarrassment, at least in the touring car world. At least Losi still has some tricks in their bag. Seems like Associated is ready to throw in the towel and be content owning the RTR market.

Do you ever work or is the T-1 you are connected to during the day just for personal RC use?
