So I picked one of these cars up froma friend of mine the other dayn so far I like it. Its carbon fibered out got some reallu nice stuff. I wanna try to run this at my local track. I'm a dirt guy so I know nothing n road.
So what I'd like to kmow, what kinda tire do you run fo a asfault track, carpet? Also what is a good brushed motor/esc set up?
I'm really tryin to get a feel for it to see if I like the onroad thing or not so for now this car works for me.
Thanks

Find out what the fast guys at your track are running. I just got back into onroad this year also. I only had the chance to try Muchmore 24* and HPI pro belted slicks.

And I would got straight to a brushless 17.5 setup. The efficiency of the brushless over the brushed motor is crazy. Both my stepson and I were running the same class(Novice TC). His car has the stock 15T, and mine has a Havok Pro ESC and a Ballistic 17.5, and we are both using the same batteries SMC4100. At the end of the 5 minute heats I would top off the batteries. His battery would take 2100 to 2300 and mine would take 800 to 1000ma.

So I took the drift tires off an mounted some rubber.
I got a question for ya, under hard acceleration it pulls hard to the right... Check everyrhing I could think of. Now I'm wondering if a underpowered servo could cause this? It came with a cheap jr servo.
Thanks

Sounds like the car needs a good alignment. It is hard to say what the problem is without seeing the car run.

If I roll slowly on the throttle or hold a speed, its good. Jus when I stab the throttle it pulls to the right

I was thinkin the same,,how some take off so good in a straight line. but im willing to bet its the throttle curve. Is your curve linear or progressive? if its just BAM instant max power, then it MAY be normal.

I was kind of thinking that the car balance might be off just a little as well.

I look at the full graphite chassis pictured earlier and it looks just like an old HPI pro2. There is no reason that this chassis could not handle a good track like any other car today. I was actually thinking about picking up one of these cars as a "fun" chassis for the shear shock value vs the $500 cars out now. Old Pro2s did not have a problem with rear traction and I would say the same for this car just looking at it. Tekin RS, 17.5, cf chassis, optional springs, spool and a rear ball diff should be good to go.

These cars really dont look all that in CF.

Have you checked if thatīs related to the steering slop? It's a farily common issue in this car, it has lots of play. Mostly on the steering bearing.

JKL1031; I believe that is the Toe-adjuster?

Could any of you guys please measure the battery tray on the Sprint? Im probably going to buy a Sprint 2 Flux but I want to know if my lipos will fit.

I have a few of these: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...dProduct=10277
