Default Fearing for my batteries

How can I over come this problem I fear the batteries will get hit with debris like rocks have taken chunks out of the fiber chassis do I need to worry? Iím eventually making a new chassis so I may consider not to recess the batteries, that will fix it but less room
What do you guys do?

Try and maybe double up on cell wrap as that should help raise up pack in chassie with larger diameter cell overall..

Well, you don't seem to have any shrink on your cells at all. That's a big no-no and opens you up to a real risk of shorting them out. So get some single cell shrink on them

But, cells have always sat in chassis like that and I have never known it to be a problem. If you are concerned put a little duck tape or similar across the cell slots. Maybe even get a sheet of the chassis protector that Associated sell.

The cells are stuffed my friend sucked the crap out of them they got so hot they started to bubble and smell the heat shrink split right off. So I regard them as test cells now.
Ok then, I see some of the pro racers donít use anything so not to worry.

You could also wrap the cells in electrical tape so they won't set sooo low in the chasis.
