I paid for mine and so have 10% of the Corally drivers at my track. I cannot say the same for other brands that some are running. I now a few of the racers have free cars all from the same manufacture and it's not Corally!

[Disclaimer: not bragging] In the past year, I've made a national-level A-main and multiple sub-national level A's. Dan Hartman, Robbie Dodge and Mike Dobbs run for Corally as well as for eXpress and I met Rob Michaels through them.

Guess what? Paid for mine.

To the contrary Corally is extremely choosey about who they give out sponsorships to and I've never seen them give away a free kit to anyone that I know personally.

this is quite funny as this is exactly the same situation here in Australia,

pretty much every one I know of here who runs the RDX are "sponsered" drivers. (a good 6-7 drivers)

there is only one guy I know of who bought a RDX recently (second hand from a ex team driver) and then got rid of it after 3 weeks.

I believe it is a plan to recruit as many A-main drivers just to ensure as many wins as possible,

as the saying goes, "win on Sunday sell on Monday"

yea, Xray have plenty of sponsered drivers here as well,

but its the ratio of sponsered versus unsponsered drivers who are actually racing the cars that is the question.

my (very rough) estimation of sponsered versus unsponsered

RDX 3:1
Xray 1:4

not wanting to pick on the RDX car or drivers (as I was looking at getting a RDX when it first came out and know most of the guys who run them) but it certainally seems the case that the RDX is mainly being used by team drivers.

Yeah, but here's the issue at hand: this guy's premise was that Corally's giving away free kits willy-nilly.

[Quoted]
"I see a lot of these cars going around lately and the rave reviews they are getting, but the only problem is..... non of the corally owners even paid for thier cars"

That's simply not true. If the argument was that there were more sponsored drivers versus non-sponsored drivers running RDXs, I'd step away from that one.

Let's see:

Dobbs - paid for his kits
Dodge - paid for his kits
Hartman - paid for his kits
Me - paid for my kit

There are programs in place at both companies on how to handle sponsorships.

Maybe someone at Corally can field the rest of these (or not--probably a better idea). I coown a different company.
You miss understood me jon i was talking about the first post i find that funny

Sorry, my bad, Steve. Went atcha like an attack dog, didn't I?

Better insert some commas or periods in there next time.

Yeah, I agree now. Small companies love to give away tens of thousands of dollars in free kits to their local drivers. Makes for good profit.
