I can know what we have done with the yokomo is to produce a custom stiffer chassis as well as move some of the key elements around to better suite carpet(i.e. steering, bats, motor mount esc.) I will say this, I did under take this quest to also prove the same thing steven is doing, proving the shaft is not gone. If you could not here the whine of the gears you would never know they were shaft driven. no tork steer, none. I know personaly that my car is just as good as anyother and Im sure the SRD is as well. here is some pics of the Tommy Krammier car.

Pro4's rock.. I had my Pro4 dialed on carpet, I used a BMI 3mm chassis and top brace, Car worked great. One of the only problems that I ever had with the Pro4 is the ring and pinion gears and that's with a one way and spool..with a front diff I never had any problems..I have had in the past a few issues with the diff screws breaking but switched to the associated diff screw and have not had any problems since. The Pro4 is really fast in stock and 19 wind, For me the Pro4 starts to get sketchy in Mod..I have not tried the 2mm chassis yet but I have been told that it works really great for low traction and mod. The Pro4 turns in good has great acceleration, All around a really good car. I thought it's a better car than the LCG Yokomo or TC4. The problem with the LCG is flex..way to much, Its like a noodle.. The Tommy Kraimer model looks good though. The TC4 has a bit to much push for me, I tried to take the push out and never could get it to work the way i wanted it to..sorta of gave up on the car.. I am going to be trying my SRD this weekend. Do they sell the Tommy Kraimer chassis and top deck? I have an LCG (in my opinion is a POS) and the TK chassis would "fix" my opinion of the car..

It's a wonderful shaft car. It's really fast and stable. It's what most people prefer when it comes to shaft driven cars. That's why I chose the Pro4 too. It is also the car with the most hop ups available from HPI and aftermarket brand parts. Check out the Pro4 thread. You'll learn all the tips and know hows there. You won't regret getting it I'm sure. Good luck.

xxxkat, Im sorry the TK chassis is not avaible to the public.......yet

I would contact yokomo, see what they say....

Im glad you like chassis, and it does fix the problems you speak of. I am positive of this. The car is dialed. and I am finding that I can go to diffent tracks and have to make little changes. I think the "tuning" window is quite large with the TK car. I can't post a setup for the yokomos on carpet since the TK car is so diffrent, I know the setup would not apply to an standard LCG.

no, i think the kraimer car was a only done in a small batch. when the chris grainger car came out, all talk of the tke car seemed to stop. i believe it was an either or, and they went with the belt. the factory tke cars are still floating around. perhaps that project will surface again at yokomo.
