motors perform best when they rev, running your car at low speeds will not tell you anything about how the car or motor are working, you could burn the motor out by doing this, what does the car/motor run like at high speeds .
what your trying to do is like trying to pull away from a standstill start in 4th gear, the motor cannot produce enuff power at little throttle.run your car normal speeds and se what it does.
o right . at the mo (answering the question with the around it) i havent yet tested the top speed , i only got it running today and its raining

motors have different characteristics, for example, i have an epic shock motor which can be turned easily and also a spashett edition peak vantage motor which is harder to turn. it's normal.

from snail pace to immediate stop, it's normal, it's the motor that's holding the car from rolling, because of the reason above (magnetic etc and as well ur gear ratio)

the important thing is ur drivetrain, test it on a track and see whether you have problem in gaining speed or deceleration.

i hope you are not comparing these cars to gas powered cars, it's different in GP where the clutch will not engage if the engine is not powered or throttled.

I don't think there is anything wrong with your car, speedo, or motor.

Why do you want to drive it at a snails pace anyway???
