TenzoR, Although the MS feature of changing the spur gear quickly is nice, its not essential and doesn't give you anything speed wise on the track.

Your best bet is to go with the standard EVO 5 parts. Part numbers you will need are:

3455961 - Spur gear holder
3455962 - Motor Mount
3455971 - Rear input shaft (propeller joint B)

Download the EVO 5 manual and get a feel for how it all goes together.

A google search shouls find you these parts fairly easily.

ps - thanks for the reply to the Spec-R gear diff question.

Agreed. Just easier spur changes in exchange for more complexity and weight. Just run 48pitch like I do

It would take at least 4 Exotek EVO5s to even consider! All seriousness, great job on the new kit. Sure that someone will put that car in a couple of A-mains.

Thanks for all the PMs about the car. I'm going to sell it via the auction, as I'm not sure what its worth, and eBay offers good protection for both buyer and seller.

Definitely, reckon it could still kick some ass. It was my planned ride for 2013 (with a DIY shorty lipo chassis of course ) until a nice offer from Xray came along.

Hy there!

Here a few pics of my Exotek Evo. Was a hard job to install the electronic properly, but in the end the puzzle fits together....

A few minor things i had to change, but all in all it is a great conversion. Lets hope it is fast as well...

Good Night!

Has anyone tried using the EVO IV bulkheads ,drivetrain ,and motor mount on a EVO V chassis? I have an EVO IV that needs some new life and was wondering if it would fit on the Exotex decks.

@ Rainer

what brand / no. of teeth is your spur gear?
have you tried to find the maximum size that will fit in?
i understand that the max should be 34mm in diameter..
unfortunately i don't have access to different size spur gears..

thanks..
