Try Mobil 1 synthetic motor oil, $5 a quart. Keep a bottle in your garage, or just pour some in your oil bottle/dropper at each oil change.

Mobil 1 is an excellent bushing lubricant but wasn't designed to lube ball bearings. The viscosity of Mobil 1 is much higher than MIL-L-6085C & viscosity = drag.

BTW: Trinity's bushing oil is just repackaged Mobil 1

I also use Zubak's. I have had good luck with Royal Oil as well, but I think the Zubak's works even better. Its some killer lube.

Niftech Micro Bearing Oil seems to work pretty good too. But it's petrolium based... Only $5.

Default The BEST bearing oil.

Anyone tried Prolong for bearing lube. How is it with attracting dust. Tranny fluid is terrible with dust. Lot of guys I know use the 5-15wt Mobile-1 oil.
Anyone running their bearing without the shields/seals? Did you notice any advantage?

Thanks,

Yes! most definately things free up a lot. but just remove the shields on the inside of the hub bearings to keep the dirt out. Only problem is that they become quite high maintenance. I take my bearings out about every 2 days of running and lube once for each day of running.

The orion oil sucks. Trinity Royal oil is the best.

I usually end up blasting and re-lubing about ever other race. I'm using the Team1 bearing lube.

I've been using the Fantom Bearing oil with great success.
Only tried the Peak stuff once, (borrowed it from a friend when I run out of the Fantom lube) and seemed to work just as well as the Fantom stuff.
Still use Fantom though, as it is what my LHS stocks 95% of the time.
