Another ROAR Nationals- attended the first On Road Nationals in Orlando but this will probably be my last. Meet some old racing buddies and learned some more stuff. Enjoyed meeting my friends again at the track and asking for help on various things. Got some good advise. Enjoyed racing and talking with my friends and fellow racers. See ya'll in a few weeks.

The first ROAR Nationals was indoors at a Hotel in Orlando (1/12th stock and modified) could have been 1985. Rick Hohwart (Delta() won and I got the winning motor(actually a copy- which I still have) and later sponsored by Peak Performance. Went to all the Winternationals in Orlando.

The hotel race was the first ROAR Nationals in Florida . There were the Spring Champs in Atlanta, The Winter Nationals in Orlando and the Red Lobster in Melbourne. At the Red Lobster a guy named Bob Hosch goes up to Ernie P and Joel and tells them real racing is at his track - Lake Whippoorwill (I was pitting next to them). They went over there after the race and the rest is history.
This was one of the funnest thing happened during one of the upper mod mains. It was on carpet and near the end of the main the cars started disappearing- the seam came loose and the cars went under the carpet.
