From the manual:

RSP (Response Switch)

This functions adjusts the steering or throttle response time. This original and unique feature will result in shart steering and precise throttle response for optimum model performance.

1- move cursor to RSP
2- press the "asterisk" key to select TH or ST
3- Turn the Response switch ON. RSP ON will appear on the display. (the response switch is located just to the right of "trim-st)
4- To quicken the response, depress the INC.+ key; it is adjustable from 0 (linear) to +10 (very quick)
5- For milder response, depress the DEC.- Key; it is adjustable from 0 (linear) to -10 (very mild)

NOTE: If an adjustment of the Response time if not desired, set it to 0 by pressing the INC+ and DEC- keys simultaneously.

It isn't expressed in the manual...but ALB stands for "Anti Lock Brakes." I've never used this feature....but the name would assume it's use.

go to that function and press * to move to the different fuctions within ALB then +/- to get the desired affect. Again, there's nothing in the manual about this, so you're just going to have to play around with it.

well...that sure clears up a lot of stuff! I thought this radio was merely tight....now, it's just freakin nuts! I love this thing!

Although, why doens't ABS have it's own spot? it's like it's not even a feature on the screen....

I think the first versions of the M8 didn't have ABL because the instructions are on a supplemental sheet.

Dunno.. hard to say.. they kinda weird that they have that invisible spot for the menu item, but when you activate it, it has a spot for ALB On!.. maybe they thought it wasn't going to be used much, so they didn't bother?

sanwa/airtronics had an issue with futaba on alb feature; hence the voluntary "removal" from the screen
