I saw this car this morning. Nice modern looking design on this car.
It is interesting how this car and the Mi8 have gone for very long lower wishbones now. We have so many capable cars on the market right now! Zack |
A lot of interesting details and features included in the base package...They've done a nice job putting this together
|
The new car looks awesome... those rear upper arms are sexy!
|
Sadly I'm hyped lol Ok when?
|
|
looks interesting.
+ low bulkheads + low top a arms + some parts seem equal on corners + narrow chassis + shocktower options + bat holders - diff removal easy? looks like one needs to take off the wheels first to access the top bulkhead screws. - previsions for ballast or included ballast - spur gear attachment with c clip So at the end not much to dislike... |
double...

There are bearings in the front...
I really love the fact there is a REAL stiffness difference between front and rear upper arms. Floating shocks support will work well also I think. They removed the microscopic clips on CVD bearings. I'm also impatient to test the ultra short progressive shocks... It is maked as ready to ship on the official site... But nothing in stock and european reseller has marked it available for the 30th of June... MSRP 649€ |

Even more interesting is that even though they recently released the Mg Diff for the car, it’s not compatible if they narrowed the bulkheads from what I saw. It just seems to be a shame that such a highly engineered part had a relatively short lifespan. Regardless, I will most likely be getting one of these, so that I can relegate my ‘21 to another class. :) |
Unsprung Mass
I wonder if someone can weigh those wheelhubs (driveshaft w/ bearings, all ballcups for steering link attached). To me they look a tad heavy. Even if someone has the numbers of the previous one, that would be sufficiently close...
Thanks |
Real question is, do the ball joints for track width have a flange?
Biggest issue personally with the original x20, was the track width was a pain in the arse to set correctly. Very easy to have a crab walking car, a flanged ball joint would allow you to use shims and get equal Left Right width. The ball joint could also get hammered in when you crashed. https://www.rccaraction.com/wp-conte...uggy-Kit-5.jpg Basically what I mean, but for the camber ball joint on this car |
Pretty low CG, but why didn't they go with a mid motor design?

Unless I missed a recent major release, I believe everyone is still adopting the equal belt length approach. It is interesting to see that like Xray, they narrowed up the bulkheads and lower inner pivots. I’m personally curious as to why rake/sweep adjustment was added to the lower arms as well. |
