Weather has been poor where I am, haven't run it since I last posted. Hopefully I'll get a chance this weekend. So far my setup is using the 38 front 42 rear camber plates, 35wt shock oil, 5k diff, and the rest of the car is pretty much stock setup.

Same. 38, 42 camber plates, and stock setup so far. It's been incredibly smooth and easy to drive on medium-high traction asphalt over 8 different races. Now moving up from 21.5T GT class to 17.5 Stock Blinky on carpet.
Had one carpet practice day and my front spool comes loose all the time. Might have forgotten to tighten it recently, but just wondering why I need to retighten it at all... Feel like design was rushed on this one.
Thoughts?

Well got the kit, I have done the turnbuckles, Not sure my slim line packs will fit, not sure the battery holder will slide inboard enough

What part of the spool is coming loose?

We run this weekend and I believe we still have a couple still running it. I’ll pay attention to how they run.

Default Battery Brace

Broke my battery brace needed something before Sunday. With some minor Dremel work, I got the Associated TC7 braces (ASC31778) to work. Not bad for $11. I used a short servo mount and screw that I had lying around as a battery fore/aft limiter. So far so good.

It's weird that Xpress only offers a carbon part for the front, and not the rear for the AT1. What's even more weird is that the front part comes with the limiter for the rear but not the rest of it. XP-10877.

The stock battery holders also don't go in enough to accommodate slim batteries which seems really strange given the weight of the car and the tendancy for it to be battery side heavy with the motor so inboard

Yeah. I did break the front, but still. Kind of a weird combo.

Most chassis don't accommodate the narrow packs out of the box, unfortunately. A regular width ULCG pack (around 250g) should be as light as you need to go on the battery. If you've already got the battery, I guess you need to get some custom tabs cut.

Yeah already have the packs as it was the only way to balance the T420 with the LCG kit without coming in at 1400 grams RTR as the mount pushed the battery that far out. Would prefer not to fork out for new packs again! Anyway, slowly slowly, will be taking my time on this and still running the T4 in the interim

I run ultra narrow Arromax lipos on my AT1. The easiest way was to use standard battery mount and cut the 90deg ends off and then use old servo mounts and screwed them into the screw hole that allows the adjustment of forward and backward movement of battery.

Can you attach a photo of this in practice? The front standard battery mount doesn't have a screw.
