Red face

From what I have heard the designer of the EVO series now works for HPI so Tamiya have stopped any development on them, but this could be wrong

i dont undestand why tamiya hasīnt been able to make a car with as many features as the xray t2 that car is just brilliant. i think they should slow down and consentrate on getting the stuff right the first time instead of making 3 opgrades off each car

Features don't win races, simplicity does!!
The MSX performs the same or better than the T2 9 out of 10 times

Upgrading a current car is really good in my opinion, I still use many spareparts from my first 415 on my MSX today, saves allot of money!!

Thatīs not true. The 415 is one of the oldest designs of the current belt cars and was one of the fastest right from the beginning. This had not changed until now. Yes there are different upgrades available and the guys like Marc Rheinard, David Spashett and Maezumi can get them working to 100% of their performance but Iīm sure the average driver really donīt need all of them for being fast.
On the other side look at Xray. How much new parts did they have released just for the FK05 after presenting this car? How long did it take to replace the 05 with the T2? And the T2 isnīt just an upgrade but a completely new car so 05 owners lost a lot of money within a very short time. That 05 shouldnīt have released ever but the T2 instead. So your words just fit right Xray not Tamiya.

And yes as Eirik says, same for me. Iīm still using my old 415 with the MSX upgrade now. And itīs way faster than my 05.

Evolution, instead of revolution, is a very good strategy for developing racing equipment...

Naw...there has to be a FK or two in there before that. I heard it's going to be shaft drive with belts instead of cvd's.

That is not true. All that is needed to be done is counter sink the top deck and everything is fine. Hasn't tweaked since I did it two weeks after they came out.
