The -X variant is for Xray. They've got a Schumacher version coming soon.

I'm sure someone has eyeballed this already.

What are the chances the mi9 arms and hubs fit onto the mi8 HGT?

I know the axles are different but if a combination of 5x10x3 and 5x10x4 bearing is used they might line up the same.

The suspension arms Yes will bolt to the HGT (only) chassis

The axles I doubt.
MI8 axles in Mi9 hubs will be too long on the stub side.
Mi9 axles in Mi8 hubs - No
Mi9 hubs + axles + diff + spool will be what you need.

Even if you get the 8 axles to fit/work it wont have the same benefit of the 9's axles.
You want the geometry change the new axles give the 9.
