First run yesterday at "The Gate" post Halloween Classic. Older black carpet which is normally lower grip but post big race not bad. Kit build setup with heavier sway bars. Car was smooth as butter set up as for the USGT class. My best qualifier would have put me 5th. in the "A" at the Classic. I haven't run USGT much before so that impressed me and several others.
I believe that those heavy bars actually hurt it but I didn't have time to change them. My reason for them was I typically prefer them on my cars. Observation and feel was the car wasn't into the track as much as it could be all around. Next run will have lighter bars as a new starting point.

Race report for last 2 weekends
Setup for VTA
Weight 1430
Converter to Mid belt
Race 1 - Thunderdome
med to high grip black carpet
Flex screws 3 in rear, 2 in front
Stock Setup
Qualified P2, Finished 3rd
Car performed really well for Q1 and Q2, When traction started to go up for Q3 and Main, it started to lift in the middle of the sweeper with a few gentle traction rolls. I kept it under control by being a slower and being more gentle with the car thru the sweeper. I wasn't sure if this was a VTA tire issue (Mid Life tires) or a chassis issue. Will need more time in high traction to get the car dialed in better although my gut is to much flex and the aluminum chassis would help.
Race 2
GRRC
low to med grip Black Carper
Qualified P1 finished 1
Track normally starts low grip and at Q1 and by Q3 and mains moves to med grip. In Practice, the car had a strong push, similar to the last time I raced at this track. I decided to lower the roll centers front and rear (went from 2mm to 1mm on the lower arms ball studs) to get the car lower in the corners. This was a night and day difference and the car came alive. I ran my AMX (VTA Setup) as a bellwether for comparison, both cars performed equally. There are still a few tweaks I need to work on, like improving low speed corners, I just need some more time with it. Also note that in practice the car was very responsive to how many flex screws where in the upper motor plate attaching the Front upper deck. I ended up running 2 in the main, but traction was still going up, a better choice would have run all 3 screws.
Overall - I like this car - responds very well to setup changes. I am not 100% sold it needs an aluminum chassis for VTA, but with the higher cornering forces of TC on black carpet I would expect it to be a requirement to compete.

ran the car at my local track this past weekend , and started with the kit set up but wasnt too happy with it with the low to medium traction. made a few changes and got the car to match my laps as my MI8 and MTC2 at this track(same layout ,tires, electronics and body) for the price cant beat it . Had a couple of track excursions but no issues with any of the parts. Here is what I have so far. Racing this weekend at Valkaria Raceway. i ran the motor in the front and Drop was measured at the axle.
