Default Recommendations: Xray battery holder

I have a 2017 Xray TC and have grown tired of using battery tape. I'd like to replace with a more permanent battery holder (carbon fiber?), but would like to ensure I buy a good one --- not just the first one I run across. I've seen some that don't seem to hold the battery firmly in place. I don't want to risk it flopping out if someone hits me.

Suggestions/recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Take a look at the battery holder used on the T4 20/21 and the X4. Racers seem to really like it.

Will it fit a '17?

I wouldn't not recommend the Graphite option (306165) listed in the T4 '17 manual. I lost way to many batteries using that one.

I bought the fancy full size carbon holder, it was a PITA. I ended up with the two carbon tabs (one on each end of the battery) set slightly loose. It works great. Haven’t used tape since switching.

Not the best looking, but works great and reasonable cost.

I'm new to T4's myself and in the same boat.

Before I knew about the '20/'21 tab style holder, I ordered the T-Works version:

Another low cost option is to just use standoffs and Exotek Tabs. You'd need to fab some sort of fore-aft stops/spacers. I found 1UP makes standoffs in various heights: https://1upracing.com/product-catego...sive-hardware/, would just need to shim to suit.
