LAUGHS~!

Really, you should just email Novak. I have sent things back that looks like it's all been hacked up and they still fixed it. Just had to pay for the shipping. That was a Cyclone model.

yes just talk to charlie he'll take care of you. met bob at the roar nats always good stuff. but one bad experience can change your whole view of a company. did for me when my novak 4 (no not T4 before that) blew up 18 years ago switched to tekin till I had to get LRPs (still run a tekin 411g2 in dirt) did it mostly for the size for 12th scale.

Exact thing happen to me when I got mine. Contacted Charlie from Novak and got everything replaced new. I have now sold the system and will only get another one once all the bugs are gone.

I'm running a GTB and have nothing but good to say about it.. no issues thus far, it's quick, reliable, and best of all, no f*cking around with motor maintenance. YAY

just want the 4.5R now, for those 'bigger' tracks..

i hope you get your gear sorted..

I've been using novak for ever. I still use my old Novak Tempest Pro speedy in my BK2 buggy... rock solid quality.

Talking

My girlfriend has one in her RDX and it did the same think after 3 qualifiers while lining up for the mains at a local club race. I called Novak for her on it and they had us send it back to them... after 3 weeks they sent us a whole new system and said that one of the power output ICs had shorted out in the original unit. The new unit they sent since has run just fine, we haven't had any issue with it so far, and its also crazy fast....

You can tell their novak's since they smell like oranges when the blow-up. Funny LRP's have the faint scent of blueberry's now that I think of it.

I think everybody will have an ESC failure at one time in their R/C lifetime. Those blue speed controllers make some good smoke though . Fried mine once and never went back.

Taking the cap off of a GTB = guaranteed failure, why you thought it was a good idea to just cut it off is beyond me.

Lucky for you Novak is good enough that they will probably help you out, even when you ran the product out of specs intentionally.
