Default BL ESC: GTB versus XBR

Hey,

does anyone here know if there is a lot of difference between the 2 ESC?

http://www.teamnovak.com/products/es...spec_chart.htm

I'm a normal racer (not the slower but not the fastest) so will I see a difference?

thanks for your help

Check the stats. It all depends on what your running and what your tring to do with it..
Its pretty high on resistance compaired to other escs on the market and is only good down to a 8.5 turn BL motor. Not saying its bad, but kinda makes it hard to upgrade.

well I will race indoor rubber carpet and I will race the 13.5 BL motor because I want to be pretty equal to the stock brush motor.

I will not run mod.

I'm just tired of brush motor and the combo XBR with the 13.5BL motor is pretty cheap 200$.

Like I said, I'm not a top driver and I just want to race and not spending time on my brush motor anymore (cut, spring, dyno....etc) to much time for me right now.

You wont need either one... BL is not legal at your club yet Cheaper to just use the 200$ to buy some tires and motors LOL

Default ask

ask your track if they will allow it....if they don't ask WHY?
sucks if a track loses a racer because they won't adapt. It's quite a fair statement to say clubs/tracks that don't accept it...won't last too long.

And a 13.5 bonded (geared correctly) is pretty equal to a stock motor...i usually find a stock brushed motor built by an avid racer is usually quite a bit more faster.

Just an FYI....not here to start a drama session. Brushless is here to stay...no one can deny that.

Joel....it will be legal soon since every other club make it legal, it's just a question of time now

a few people already got a BL system and it will be testing time in the next week to see if there is an advantage running BL.
