Hara did run a receiver pack at some point, it was a LiPo pack with switching regulator. But since he was having interference he didn't run it later!
None of the A-finalists ran a receiver pack as far as I could see.

Default Futaba?

So just what IS the story on Futaba. First its good enough for Hara to start using it over his very own personal radio line, and then now its a glitchfest in Italy? so much of a problem that they are trying rx packs and ferrite noise supprosers?

Hopefully that doesnt happen at the actual worlds, would be shame for some great drivers' results to be damaged by equipment ;(

I think there were no detailed reports on the Futaba systems, you just could read there were problems. Maybe only Futaba drivers who were there could say what really happened. But I have to say I know some drivers here using the Futaba 3PK transmitter and usually there are no Futaba specific glitches.

Maybe Burito know something on this also.

@v12: didn't pay attention who had glitches and who had not and what equipment they were using.
I was happy that my drivers where fine in regards of that... I only know Hara had trouble with this gear but not sure what actually was the problem since he seemed fine in the finals and still ran his Futaba gear.

@burito
First of all congrats to the result of your newest team driver. I think the guys who have seen Ronald in the past do know he is a very fast driver. But this is another level and a big surprise!
Would be really nice if he could repeat that performance at the worlds. Seeing two Germans in the Worlds A-Main, maybe itīs not that far away.

Regarding the problems with the glitches, I just assumed you did hear anything. But from what I have read in other forums it wasnīt just Hara who had problems. Seems he found a solution for the mains.

@V12: thanks, Ronald was definitely the big surprise at the Pre-Worlds. Remember this was the very first race for him with his LRP Brushless powered HB-Cyclone... There's certainly more to come from him...

@ burito
I didnīt know that before the Pre-Worlds. I did read in the German forum Ronald has changed and is running Cyclone/LRP now. Maybe he had to find the "right" car or team for this performance.
But yes youīre right the result is even more fantastic as this was his first race with the Cyclone.

Hmm, I think I have to go to Italy in July.........for some holiday.

See you at the LRP-Masters.
