Default Help me decide:Nitro or more electric?

Well i've been looking jealously at nitro cars for some time now.
I own a Pro3(moderately hopped up) but i dont have any serious racing stuff.just a plain esc , plain 1500 , stock motor , the likes.
Now i've been offered USD200 for a V1R.......
I only wanna do some relaxed club racing.
should i get the nitro or upgrade my Pro3 further?

Your question indicates that you have tight budget. So my answer to your question is NO in either way. Reasons:

1. Pro 3 is not worth investing further.
2. If you have tight budget, don't side-track on GP since you'll have to buy a new set of accessories for GP like starter box, glow plug, receiver, high-end servos, etc.

My suggestion is to get a 2nd hand car with cheap running cost. TA04 is a good example. But it depends on the availability of the parts at your place. And on the other hand, upgrade your EP equipment like ESC, motor, batteries, charger, etc.

My $0.02

From a money-point-off-view, Diva are absolutely right.

There are some other arguments, like noise, indoor use, runtime, etc. etc.

But I believe that what really matter, are temper. Some people (like me) simply dont even get tempted by nitro. Others dont like EP cars. A few like both. If your heart beats for nitro, it's the way to go.

If you prefer nitro over electric, simply sell your Pro3 and get the Nitro.

There's no buttom line, other than you have to decide what you want the most.

hhh? Why should people dislike you, because you get serious? I mean, this is just a hobby? And theres many degrees of being serious?

Compared to the others in my club, I'm quite serious. But I like to have fun and compared to real serious people, I'm just an average Joe. But I dont care, I like the level I'm at. I like to be serious about the way I'm learning. Somebody will probably say I'm ambitious in my way on learning stuff. But I find a great pleasure in learning and knowing stuff, and thats the way I like it.

Oh no
I'm serious alright.i dont crack jokes every 2 seconds or make fun of ppl. It's just that Im the type of ppl that when they have an objective , say to win , i would race like im posessed and i wont smile as much.i dont like it when ppl lose their smiles.Besides the higher you aim the higher u will fall.
I've learnt to be serious only when it's dangerous no to and when i comes to my studies.
This is my hobby and i would like to keep it that way.in all the hobbies i've had i'm sure ppl around me acknowledge that im the nice guy who doesnt mind finishing last or losing.
BUT i dont have anything against ppl who are serious or who want to win badly....it's just their style and i accept it.Besides when u do win against them once in a while u will have bragging rights...
Why is this thread bcoming a life philosophy thread.?hmmmmm

Well ive been racing gas cars for two years now and have finally seen the light.Electric cars are so much easier to use and maintain, dont get covered in crap and dont bother the people next door when u decide to have a blat up the road.Yes gas maybe faster on a big open track but how many clubs have huge tracks these days.I love leccy

hmmm,...
actually i agree wif parts of wat diva said...
the later part 2 b exact...upgrade ur electronics or hop-up ur car.if u get the 04,u might need 2 get hop-ups also...

if u r tight on budget, get hop-ups tat matter such as 1 ways etc...

i like EP...every small bit of setting change can be felt...

You couldn't be more right - at my opinion at least.

No way man. Even you don't buy the stuff, I will still put the same suggestion. The money got from the batt and charger is nothing to me.

Hi Lee,
You might wanna get the Eagle racing CDC version 6vB. It is much better than Pitbull. Pitbull can only charge up to 3000Mah capacity batteries which means that it might not be that suitable for 3300 Mah batteries. The CDC has 4 different modes of charging.the boost mode should work very well at track side, the partial charge is gd for ni-mh pack when u want 2 store them. Well either that you can get the LRP pulsar. This is just my thought. Cos I have not heard anything good about Pitbull so far
