Default Battery IR

Hey there,

I've been charging my batts for a while now... I've got a couple of 2400s and a couple of 3000HVs. I charge and store 'em according to Danny of SMC's guidelines.

I'm using a Victor IQ3000... the figures for Internal Resistance (actual, I think) and voltage seem to get significantly higher with each cycle.

Is this normal? What can I do about it? To my knowledge, IR is related to punch...

Zapping?

Zapping does often lower internal resistance. It is supposed too. Good zappers can be costly..... Over time the internals will go up. It is just the way a battery works unfortunately.

Internal resistance is the batteries ability to deliver the voltage. The lower the ir the faster it can deliver the voltage providing more "punch".......

each time you charge/dsicharge you will get crystalline build up on the inside of the battery causing the internal resistance to increase.

have a nice day
